Savannah Finley Selected as the MSU recipient of the ACS Organic Chemistry Division Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry

Savannah Finley, a senior chemistry major, has been selected as the MSU recipient of the 2021 American Chemical Society Organic Chemistry Division Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry.  

This award recognizes a graduating senior for their outstanding achievements in organic chemistry. 

A member of the Honors College, Savannah is a chemistry major and math minor. She maintains a perfect 4.0 Chemistry GPA and a cumulative GPA of 3.98. Savannah has done undergraduate research on chemical education with Dr. Melanie Cooper and Dr. Angela Wilson modeling PFAS compounds found in the environment. She was also recognized for her recent contribution to the Chemistry Department’s safety committee. After graduation Savannah plans is to go to graduate school and pursue a PhD in geochemistry.
