Applicants:

Thank you for your interest in our program. The application window for the 2024 summer program will open November 30, 2024.

Eligibility: To be eligible for this NSF-funded REU program, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. You must also be a current college student (rising second, third or fourth-year) pursuing a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or other related discipline. MSU students may apply but the number of positions will be limited to two. Additionally, no room and board expenses will be provided to MSU students.

Deadline: Applications for  the 2024 summer program will be accepted until February 15, 2024.

Review of applications will begin during the submission window with decisions announced by mid March 2024. Offers will be extended until all positions are filled. There will be 5-7  positions available for student participants this summer.

Application: Application materials should be submitted electronically. For a complete application, you will need the following information:

  • Application Form
  • Resume or CV
  • Official academic transcript(s)
  • Two letters of recommendation (Letters should address issues such as your personal skills, interest in science, performance in course work, any prior research experience, communication skills and ability to work with others.)
