Prof. James K. McCusker Awarded 2020 Royal Society of Chemistry Honor

MSU Chemistry’s MSU Foundation Professor James K. McCusker has received the 2020 Chemical Dynamics Award from Great Britain’s Royal Society of Chemistry’s Faraday Division.
Prof. McCusker received his award "In recognition of his combined application of synthesis
and ultrafast spectroscopy to advance our understanding of the excited-state dynamics
of transition metal complexes."
Today, Prof. McCusker’s students continue to investigate new and exciting approaches
to molecular design, laying the foundation for advances in electricity and fuel generation,
as well as new catalysts for use in organic synthesis, using light as the main source
of energy to drive their development.
