Sidney Lipovsky Selected as MSU Recipient of the ACS Organic Chemistry Division Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry

Sidney Lipovsky, a senior chemistry major, has been selected as MSU recipient of the 2021 American Chemical Society Organic Chemistry Division Undergraduate Award in Organic Chemistry.  

This award recognizes a graduating senior for their outstanding achievements in organic chemistry. 

A member of the Honors College, Sidney is a chemistry major and a pharmacology/ toxicology Minor. She maintains a perfect 4.0 Chemistry GPA! As a researcher in Dr. Jinda Fan’s lab, Sidney is developing F-18 radiotracers for PET imaging of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's applications. In collaboration with Dr. Sing Lee, she has also explored the synthesis of regio- & stereo-isomers of epoxyeicosatrienoic acid. Sidney will soon join FlavorSum as an R&D flavor chemist. Longer term, she plans to continue studying organic chemistry as part of a graduate program.
