Computational chemistry
There is an opening for a postdoctoral research associate in the research group of Angela K. Wilson in the Department of Chemistry at Michigan State University. The position is in
- Computational chemistry, with a focus on molecular dynamics, protein modeling, small molecule inhibitors, and drug discovery
- The candidates must have their primary doctoral work in computational chemistry, with a strong preference for experience in protein chemistry and molecular dynamics.
- Individuals with a primary focus on experiment rather than computation will not be considered.
- Experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence methods is of substantial interest, but is not required.
- Ability to navigate python easily is essential.
The position is for one year, but with the possibility of renewal, based upon mutual agreement and availability of funds. Preferred start date: Fall 2022 or early 2023.
