Ned Jackson states "Everyone in the lab was smarter when Nancy Gorroff was part of my group. Besides being a brilliant and articulate scientist, Nancy is a deeply principled, welcoming citizen of her various communities. I have seen these traits play out at many levels—when she was in my group at MSU; as organizer of multiple conferences in the materials and physical organic chemistry communities; as chair of her own department; and as associate provost of her university. Now she aims to bring that intelligence, rigor, and conscientious citizenship to the wider stage of public service. Our government needs people like Dr. Goroff, committed to facts, logic, and effective communication.  If elected, she would be the first woman PhD scientist ever in Congress."

Nancy was declared the primary winner, and will be on the NY 1st Congressional District ballot this Fall 2020.
