Congratulations to Eli McCool, a graduate student in Prof. Liangliang Sun’s group, for receiving a 2019 Graduate Student Travel Award from the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) at their Annual Conference recently. According to the ASMS, “The ASMS Graduate Student Award recognizes graduate students whose academic achievements and current mass spectrometry research display a high level of excellence and distinction.”

Eli's project focuses on large-scale top-down proteomics using a capillary zone electrophoresis-tandem mass spectrometry platform for proteoform separation, identification, and characterization.
