Chemistry Professor Inducted into Michigan Women's Hall of Fame

Angela Wilson, the Hannah Professor of Computational Chemistry, is being inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame by Michigan Women Forward.

Professor Wilson, who joined the MSU Chemistry Department in 2016, is also the Division Director for the Division of ​Chemistry at the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Wilson is internationally renowned for her research in computational chemistry. She is a world leader in the development of quantum mechanical methods. In addition, she has served a wide range of leadership roles including director of Chemistry Division of the National Science Foundation, Associate Vice Provost, and editor of scientific journals. She has been a great role model and advocate for women’s success.

She has said that one of the greatest opportunities of her work is having the luxury to take greater risks toward potentially transformative science.

The 35th annual ceremony and dinner will be held Oct. 18, 2018 at the Kellogg Center and Hotel.
