The Chemistry Interest Project Patch was developed by Women in Chemistry at Michigan State University for cadette and senior Girl Scouts and was approved by the Girl Scouts of Michigan Capital Council.  Women in Chemistry and the Alpha Upsilon chapter of the Alpha Chi Sigma chemistry fraternity will offer a yearly workshop to help scouts earn their patches.  The next workshop will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007.  The IPP was designed so that scouts may complete the requirements in the one day workshop at Michigan State, or at home by completing a series of experiments and activities.

 

If you are interested in purchasing the patch from the Girl Scouts of Michigan Capital Council to complete the Chemistry IPP outside of Chemistry Merit Badge Day at Michigan State, please write to jcataline@gsmcc.net.  The patches will cost $1.25 plus postage.
