Scout Chemistry Merit Badge Day is an event designed to provide area boy and girl scouts with an opportunity to earn a merit badge in Chemistry. The day combines hands-on activities, question and answer sessions with chemists and chemistry students, and at-home projects to expose scouts to the various aspects of the natural sciences. Scouts will be asked to complete several tasks at home prior to the day of the event. They will also be expected to think about common problems in chemistry and answer several questions on a worksheet to prepare them for Badge Day.
Each scout is responsible for the $5 registration fee, which allows us to provide lunch and snacks for scouts and their parents or troop leaders accompanying them on the day of the event. Registration fees are due by Friday, November 23rd to:

Scout Registration:
Please fill out the registration form completely. Scouts can register individually, or a scout leader may register multiple scouts with one set of contact information. Remember that we will be contacting you periodically with updated information, as well as with the requirements that need to be completed before the event. Therefore, the contact person must be able to distribute this information to the scouts in a timely manner. For safety reasons, at least one adult must accompany every five scouts to the event, no exceptions! Be sure to register early since a limited number of spots are available!
