Navigating this Site

Browsing (as opposed to searching) means that you explore a subject from general topics to more specific ones. You will find numerous Web pages along whatever path you choose to take through our site.

Generally, we recommend that you browse to explore a subject in a general way. Searching is most useful when you are trying to find something very specific.

If you would like to find a specific answer to a question, try searching this site. To search for a specific topic, simply enter a keyword or phrase (surrounded by quote marks) into the white search box near the top of our Home Page, set the radio buttons for WebSite, and press <enter>. In doing this, you are asking the search function to reveal all the web pages on our site that contain your search keyword or phrase.

To search for an individual member of the department, enter their name (or the first few letters of their last name) in the form
    LastName, FirstName
Then, set the radio buttons for People, and press <enter>. In doing this, you are asking the search function to provide contact information for all individuals whose name matches the name (or fragment) in your search entry.

To use more advanced search functions, click on the "Search" link beside the search box.

The "Site Index" link provides yet another means of finding the information you need. The site index gives a visual representation of the structure and content of our site. Click on any link there to go to the web page.
