Last Minute Information

With the start of the 36th Midwest Theoretical Chemistry Conference next week, we would like to offer several helpful suggestions to make your attendance at the Conference run smoothly.

Speakers and Poster Presenters: Please review the information included in the Presentation Format page. Please look at the Meeting Schedule on the web site to confirm the time and place for your presentation. The same information will be available in the conference book of abstracts.

Participants will be expected to register upon arrival. We ask that you sign in at the Registration Table in the South Lobby of the Kellogg Conference Center. Participants who have not paid their registration fees will be expected to pay their fees during the registration. The fees are $35.00 for Graduate/Undergraduates presenting posters or giving talks, $45.00 for Graduates/Undergraduates not presenting posters or giving talks, and $100.00 for all other regular participants. Please remember that we can accept cash or checks ONLY.

All registered participants and invited guests will be given a conference package containing the book of abstracts, the MWTCC schedules and information, Kellogg Center and MSU campus maps, meal tickets, name badges, and other useful materials. Participants who have previously expressed interest in our Guest Meal Packages and who have not yet paid for these packages will be able to purchase them during the registration at $65.00 per guest. It is very IMPORTANT that you hold onto your meal tickets and present them for admittance to the various conference events.

For participants staying either at the Kellogg Center or Butterfield Hall, parking will be in the Kellogg Center Parking Ramp. You must show a room key to obtain a parking pass. Passes can be obtained at the Front Desk of the Kellogg Center.

If you are staying at Butterfield, you need to be aware that there is no long-term parking in the Butterfield/Brody parking lot. Parking in the Butterfield Lot is available for loading/unloading only. Long-term parking for participants staying at Butterfield Hall is available at the Kellogg Center Parking Ramp or in MSU Parking Lot 75 (see below).

Free parking for all MWTCC participants, including those who do not stay at Kellogg Center or Butterfield Hall, is available in MSU Parking Lot No. 75, just west of the SW corner of Harrison and Kalamazoo Streets, approximately one block South of the Kellogg Center (see the detailed maps by following the links at the top of the page).

If at any time you require assistance with directions, etc., the organizing committee representatives will be available throughout the Kellogg Center to answer questions and to assist you. Please feel free to contact the Organizers for assistance. We look forward to your participation in the 36th Midwest Theoretical Chemistry Conference.
