Undergraduate Academic Programs

All new majors in chemistry should schedule an appointment with the Chemistry Undergraduate Director for an overview of the program and assignment of an advisor. To schedule appointments, phone the Undergraduate Program Administrator, Steve Poulios, at (517) 355-9715 ext. 332.

The Michigan State University Department of Chemistry offers three undergraduate degrees: BS in Chemistry, BA in Chemistry, and BS in Chemical Physics. These degrees, along with the respective course requirements, are described on the following linked pages:
