Hardware

The MSU Chemistry Department's SuperComputer, a
32-processor SGI Origin 3400 with 24 GB RAM and half a terabyte of disk space.

The department's Origin 3400 is composed of the three racks pictured above. The two purple racks (left and center) contain processors, memory, routers, I/O cards and a few drives. The black rack on the right contains additional fibre channel disk drives. Listed below is a more detailed description of the hardware:
