Robert H. Grubbs - Nobel Laureate

 
Robert H Grubbs

Robert H. Grubbs, Victor and Elizabeth Atkins Professor of Chemistry, Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, California Institute of Technology, has been awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He shares this award with Yves Chauvin and Richard R. Schrock. The award is the result of their development of the metathesis method in organic synthesis.

Robert Grubbs was a faculty member in the MSU Department of Chemistry from 1969 to 1978 when he moved to Caltech.

Robert Grubbs was the MSU Department of Chemistry Dow/Karabatsos Lecturer in 2003 and 1987.
